GOLF FUNNIES
I was golfing with my two buddies, Cliff & Mark, at hill top golf course.We're on a par four on the back nine, that was basically cut out of the woods.Cliff is up first & takes the "big swing". Pops it way high in the air & pulls it left towards the woods.We watch it come down (thought it was going to bring rain) and can you believe it, it bounced right off the top of a telephone pole.What are the odds of that.

We're playing Shanendoa golf course in West Bloomfield Mi.This course use to be "the course" in the 50's & 60's, for that area.Still is a difficult course in many ways.For the age of the course, it is one of the hardest around.Well it is a thursday golf league, and I'm playing against a couple of good guys.One being Ed Rockwell,super guy.We're on the 8th hole,which is a par-3, plays about 180 yds.We all hit our shots, we get down to the green & there is a ditch that travels somewhat around the green, with water, frogs etc. Rick can't find his ball and we look for a while, with no luck.
So we move forward to putting.As I turn to the green, to study my putt, Rick saids "hey there is my ball" apparently on the other side of the ditch.So he decide to jump it,now mind you my back is turn to him, so all I then hear is a "splat" and then a grunt.I then turn around, only to find him stuck to the side of the ditch, which is all that black mucky dirt.Ed looked like the swamp thing, once he stood up.Ofcourse this was the day he thought wearing white was a good idea.Now we had a great laugh,but the funnier part was yet to come.See, when you play this course and finish the ninth hole,the only way off the course, is by walking past the back of the club house where the practice green is & outdoor seating.So we finish the last hole & start that walk, and Rick is beside himself with embarrassment.As he walks by,there are two 15 year boys using the putting green. You hear the boys says, just loud enough for us to hear-"what is that".That is how much mucky dirt stuck to Rick when he attempted to jump the ditch.Ofcourse as luck would have it, a couple of attractive ladies were viewing this also, with disbelief.
